Latin name: Commiphora Myrrha
Myrrh, derived from the resin of Commiphora Myrrha, is native to arid regions like Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen and Oman. It has held deep spiritual and ritualistic significance throughout history, notably mentioned in the Bible as one of the gifts presented to the infant Jesus by the Magi. Revered for its ability to cleanse spaces of negative energy, Myrrh is often used in incense to aid in spiritual purification and letting go of emotional burdens.
